Daily 5X is a short daily anagram puzzle. Each puzzle has one shared letter set and five clues. Solve all five blanks by finding anagrams that match the clue text and grammar.
Replay earlier Daily 5X puzzles, track your completion status, and keep your streak going if you missed a day.
Daily 5X is a five-clue anagram puzzle. Every answer in a puzzle is built from the same letters shown in the Letter Wheel.
If the shared letters are R E A C T, valid anagrams might include words like trace or crate. The correct answer depends on which word fits the clue text.
A new puzzle is intended to be available daily. If today's exact date is not available yet, the site may temporarily show the most recent available puzzle.
Do I need an account? No. Progress is stored locally in your browser.
Can I replay old puzzles? Yes. Use the Archive page to open earlier puzzles.
Why is my progress missing? Clearing browser data, switching browsers, or using private mode can remove local progress.
Daily 5X is a daily word puzzle focused on anagrams, clue reading, and short-form solving. Each puzzle uses one shared letter set to produce five answers.
The site is designed to be fast, lightweight, and easy to play on desktop and mobile without requiring sign-in.
Archive replay, local progress tracking, and streaks are included so players can return to earlier puzzles and keep a solving history in their browser.
Questions, feedback, bug reports, or partnership inquiries are welcome.

In short: Daily 5X has no accounts and never asks who you are. Your puzzle progress, times and streaks are stored in your own browser and are never sent to us. We do publish anonymous totals for each puzzle, such as how many people solved it. We show advertising through Google, which does use cookies.
Daily 5X is operated by Steven Baker, who is the data controller for the purposes of UK data protection law. For any privacy question, or to exercise the rights set out below, email hello@daily5x.com.
The game uses your browser's local storage to remember which puzzles you have started and solved, the words you have entered, your solve times, your shuffle counts, your streak, and cached puzzle data so the site loads quickly. None of this is transmitted to us and none of it is linked to you. It stays on that browser until you clear it, and clearing it will reset your progress and streak.
When you press Start Game, and again if you finish a puzzle, the site sends a single message recording that a play or a solve happened, together with how long the solve took and how many shuffles were used. That message contains no name, account, cookie or device identifier, and nothing that could distinguish you from anyone else playing the same puzzle. It is added to a running total for that puzzle and shown publicly on the Archive page. Totals cannot be traced back to an individual, and we could not identify you from them ourselves.
We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and visitors. It does not use cookies, does not track you across other websites, and does not build a profile of you. Vercel processes this data on our behalf as our hosting provider.
We show advertising supplied by Google AdSense. You should know the following:
If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area you will be asked for your choices about advertising cookies before any are set for that purpose. You can change your mind at any time using the privacy options link provided by that consent notice. Declining personalised advertising does not stop you using the site; you will simply see less relevant ads.
Like any website, our hosting provider records technical information when a page is requested, including your IP address, browser type and the page requested. This is used to deliver the site securely and to diagnose faults, and is held for a short period by the provider.
We rely on our legitimate interest in running and improving a free puzzle game for the anonymous puzzle totals and visitor measurement, neither of which identifies you. We rely on your consent for advertising cookies where consent is required, which is why you are asked.
Daily 5X is suitable for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access, correct, erase or restrict the personal data we hold about you, to object to processing, and to data portability. In practice we hold very little: your gameplay data is on your own device and can be erased by clearing your browser storage, and the puzzle totals are anonymous and cannot be linked to you. For anything relating to advertising data, Google holds that data and their policies apply.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
If this policy changes materially we will update the date below and, where the change affects how your data is used, ask again for any consent required.
